I returned the device as faulty because at this point what else could it be right? Every time I went to initialize the disk I would get the error "The request failed due to a fatal hardware error." So in my gaming PC I took out my 500GB M.2 drive, slotted in the WD and I was able to create the partition without an issue. I initially bought this drive with a cheaper brand name enclosure that had a Windows Vista sticker on it. The plan was to clone from one to the other because I am lazy boy has that back fired <_<. The current one is a 128GB and I just wanted some extra free space and bought a WD Blue M.2 2280 250GB drive.
